The Love of Charge Cars: Episode 24

Spoiler Alert

Buckle up—Episode 24 of The Love of Charge Cars is an emotional rollercoaster, full of high-stakes showdowns, heart-wrenching choices, and a final act that hits hard.

The Secret Room Showdown

The episode kicks off with An Tata and her team discovering the entrance to a hidden room. Inside? Chen Yun’er, watching them through surveillance cameras and fully aware that she’s cornered. In a desperate move, she sends Tata a photo of herself strapped with explosives, warning that if anyone comes in, she'll detonate.

Lin Wanru quickly notices the bomb looks similar to one from a previous incident at a pizzeria—unstable, possibly lacking a timer, and prone to blowing at any moment. Tata bravely volunteers to negotiate with Yun’er alone, while Ye Zhen clears the area and evacuates civilians.

A Sister’s Love, A Mother’s Burden

Tata treats Yun’er like a little sister and can’t bear to see her suffer. She pleads with her to stop—this isn’t courage, she says, this is self-destruction. Real bravery is standing up and facing the consequences, especially when you're not the one who should bear them. If anyone should answer for wrongdoing, it’s Ai Lian, Yun’er’s mother.

Meanwhile, Ye Zhen senses something’s off. She picks up on the eerie silence inside and suspects Ai Lian might have already left the room. A quick check confirms it: Yun’er is alone. Ye Zhen alerts HQ to search the local terrain and county records for old escape routes.

‍♀️ Escape, Pursuit, and Capture

Turns out, Ai Lian has already crawled out through a secret passage. She finds a stashed-away motorcycle and speeds off. But the police are hot on her trail, deploying K9 units and combing the area.

They soon get a lead when a man—trying to cover his own tracks—leads them straight to a rundown house. Inside? Li Donghan, who’s been trying to destroy evidence and flee. The police storm in, and a shootout breaks out in an underground passage.

Zhu Huaiyang, leading the charge, uncovers a secret drug lab and chases Li Donghan and his team down the tunnel. In a satisfying turn, the entire crew is arrested.

The Bomb Is (Not) Real… Until It Is

Back at the original standoff, police uncover another twist: Ai Lian has been caught trying to flee the village. She confesses everything, including that the bomb on Yun’er was fake—she couldn’t bear to let her daughter face real danger.

But when Ye Zhen goes to de-escalate the situation, she finds that Yun’er has swapped in a real bomb. She’s devastated by her mother’s capture and is now threatening to detonate if she can’t see Ai Lian.

Tata and Ye Zhen bring Ai Lian to Yun’er, and it’s a gut-wrenching reunion. Yun’er begs them to release her mom and says she'd rather take the fall. Ye Zhen gently explains that it’s out of her control.

Yun’er breaks down. She says she once dreamed of being a bubbly, happy girl—but life had other plans. She's the daughter of Chen Yuanhang and Ai Lian, and that baggage comes heavy.

One Last Play

As tension peaks, Ai Lian suddenly grabs a police officer’s gun and points it at herself. She demands Yun’er drop the detonator. Yun’er collapses, emotionally and physically drained.

But here’s the twist: the gun is unloaded. This was all part of a pre-arranged plan between Ai Lian, Ye Zhen, and Tata—knowing Yun’er’s deep love for her mother, this was the only way to break through to her.

⚖️ Justice Served

The dust settles. Ai Lian and Chen Yun’er are taken into custody. Ai Lian is sentenced to death for her crimes. Yun’er, though not directly involved, is jailed for aiding and abetting, left alone with her memories.

Tata, heartbroken, looks at a photo of herself and Yun’er. Tears fall.

Life Goes On for the Hummingbirds

Tata returns to training with the Hummingbird unit. Her father visits, bringing her food, and she finally promises to visit home on her next break. It’s a small but touching moment of healing.

Zhu Huaiyang, now a decorated officer, is planning a surprise for Ye Zhen. She rushes off to handle another emergency but not before a warm hug. He simply smiles and says, “I’ll be waiting.”

Episode 24 hits hard with raw emotion and powerful performances. The explosive (literally) climax brings some long-awaited justice—but not without sacrifice.
