Shen Qing, ever the rebel, wants no part in Sun Baoqin’s worries and uses “night jogging” as an excuse to dodge the drama. But Liu Lina isn’t buying it and firmly puts her foot down.
Love in the Little Things
Despite being sick with a cold, Shen Zhuoran shows up bright and early with homemade soup for Nie Juanjuan (he’s coughing up a lung, but hey, love is love). Since he can’t see her in person, he asks Peng Yulan to deliver the soup and a recording of Kunqu opera—Juanjuan’s favorite.

Out of the blue, Juanjuan gets a call from her son overseas—she’s officially a grandma! Her daughter-in-law just gave birth to a baby boy. Juanjuan is overjoyed and urges her son to take good care of his new family.
Peng Yulan shares the news with Sun Baoqin, who immediately informs Shen Zhuoran. Knowing that Juanjuan has no one else to lean on, Zhuoran wants to bring her home to recover. Sun Baoqin flips—she’s worried about Liu Lina bearing too much of the household burden. Shen Qing also thinks it’s a bad idea. Liu Lina, clearly anxious, pulls Sun Baoqin away before things get worse.
A Wedding Toast to Love and Regret
Meanwhile, it’s a day of celebration. Gou Bingqiang and Tian Zhenyang are getting married! Surrounded by friends and family, Bingqiang delivers a heartfelt speech about their journey. He encourages everyone to chase happiness before it’s too late, vowing never to leave Zhenyang’s side. The crowd is touched—including Shen Zhuoran, who gets a text from Shen Dai saying she’s found a nursing home for Juanjuan. He agrees to check it out.

Gou Bingqiang tags along with Shen Zhuoran to tour the nursing home. Zhuoran is satisfied—it seems like a good place. Later, Juanjuan calls Zhuoran and asks him to meet her in the hospital’s garden the next day to see the flowers. He agrees in a heartbeat.
Zhuoran wants to move into the nursing home with her. Shen Qing and Liu Lina are both against it. They argue that it’s too much, but Zhuoran stands firm. Liu Lina vents to Shen Qing, who storms off for another night jog. Then she spills the tea to Sun Baoqin: Zhuoran’s moving into the nursing home with Juanjuan. Sun Baoqin is stunned. Peng Yulan, on the other hand, sees it as proof of true love.
Elsewhere, An Ruifeng invites the office crew out for karaoke. Ice Li pulls Shen Qing on stage for a duet, and the two absolutely kill it. The room erupts in applause—maybe there’s a spark there?

Shen Qing’s got a lot on his plate—work, family, and now, apparently, nightly jogs. Liu Lina vents to her bestie Zhou Jing, who suggests they drink their problems away. But just as the night begins, Liu Lina gets a call from Shen Duole. She rushes home, only to find Shen Qing sitting in the car, scrolling through his phone. She doesn’t ask questions, just heads inside to make porridge.
