Lu Yuan is still playing cheerleader-in-chief to Liu Lina, encouraging her to find a job before the working world forgets she ever existed. She considers applying at Rui Zhifeng, An Ruifeng’s company, but Shen Qing squashes that plan—she doesn’t want to share an office with her. Ouch.
Left with no choice, Liu Lina turns to online job boards, but nothing feels right. She vents her frustrations to Shen Qing, who gets the full brunt of her job-hunting blues.
Enter Lu Yuan (again), who pulls some strings and connects Liu Lina with the son of an old friend—Xiao Wu—who runs a small transportation company. He’s just getting the business off the ground and needs an accountant. Seems like a match, right?
First Day Jitters (and Allergies)
Liu Lina shows up to work all dressed up and ready to impress… only to find the office tucked inside a dusty warehouse. With her chronic rhinitis, it’s not exactly a dream setting—cue the constant sneezing. Still, she soldiers on and meets with Boss Wu.
The company’s green, the hours are long, there’s only one day off per week, and she can't take leave at the end of the month (aka tax time). The pay? A modest 3,000 yuan, with a promise of year-end bonuses. It’s not ideal, but Liu Lina takes the job—because sometimes, you just do what you gotta do.
Family, Food, and Fragile Health
While Liu Lina’s busy sneezing at work, Lu Yuan is cooking up a feast at home. He invites Shen Qing and Shen Duole over, then later calls Liu Lina to join them too—he even saved her a chicken leg. Sweet, right?
But Liu Lina’s clearly not feeling well. Shen Qing notices her red nose and whisks her home to take medicine. Lu Yuan thinks she’s being overly delicate, but Shen Zhuoran immediately jumps in to defend her. Team Liu Lina is growing.
Shen Qing & Ice Li: Flirting at High Altitude?
Meanwhile, Shen Qing invites Ice Li to a company team-building event, which turns out to be a mountain hike. An Ruifeng offers a prize to the first person who reaches the summit, and suddenly everyone’s an amateur climber. Shen Qing and Ice Li end up walking together, basking in the scenery and some pretty cozy conversation.
New Beginnings: Restaurants and Runways
Elsewhere, Lin Fengyun and her friend Sunny open a Western-style restaurant and invite Liu Lina and Zhou Jing for a preview meal. Liu Lina, ever the detail-oriented eye, spots an issue with the staff uniforms. She suggests adjustments—and Lin Fengyun, remembering Liu Lina’s passion for fashion design from school, asks her to redesign the uniforms entirely.
This sparks something in Liu Lina. She heads to a garment factory to explore uniform options, where the factory director and even a bank loan officer encourage her to start her own clothing business. The idea takes hold fast.
✂️ From Transport to Textiles
After delivering killer uniforms for Lin Fengyun’s restaurant, Liu Lina makes a big decision: she quits the dusty trucking company and decides to open her own fashion brand. Shen Zhuoran’s all in, even naming the company “Duo Duo Le Le.” Lu Yuan also jumps into support mode, running errands and helping out.
With the whole family pitching in, Liu Lina’s startup quickly takes shape. Orders start rolling in, and she even launches an online store. Shen Zhuoran, Lu Yuan, and Sun Baoqin model the clothes, while Shen Qing gets roped into trying some on. Liu Debao doubles as the in-house photographer—it’s a full-blown family affair.
Vacuum Drama and a Mysterious Hair Clip
Lu Yuan buys a high-powered vacuum cleaner for the new workspace and gifts the old one to Sun Baoqin. But then, while cleaning, he finds a hair clip wedged in the couch. He assumes it’s Liu Lina’s, but she instantly recognizes it as Lian Yilian’s. Instead of stirring up drama, she lies and says it belongs to Shen Dai. Suspicious much?
