Spoiler Alert
Episode 24 of Love Again brings us a whirlwind of business drama, personal tension, and one literal near-death experience — proving once again that Liu Lina's life is anything but boring.
Business Hustle, Financial Fumbles
The episode kicks off with Xiao Bai, a bank loan officer with charm and strategy, calling Liu Lina out of the blue. He’s pitching a small business loan that could help expand her struggling fashion company. Lina’s intrigued — and when she casually mentions that Shen Qing is planning to invest their family’s savings into the company, Xiao Bai thinks it’s a smart move. He even throws in a crash course on finance and current trends in the booming pharmaceutical industry. Lina is impressed. Over dinner, she opens up about the tough journey behind her latest big order, and Xiao Bai can't stop praising her. He even introduces her to potential new clients. Things are looking up... until they’re not.
The Order from Hell
Just as Lina starts to believe she’s turning things around, disaster strikes. That big fashion order? All 120 pieces are returned. Why? Lipstick stains. Torn fabric. A complete mess. Liu Lina, Shen Duole, and Lu Yuan are livid. Lina wants to confront the buyer directly, but Shen Qing warns her not to act impulsively. She ignores the advice — and takes her anger out on him instead. Shen Qing, already stressed with his own company issues, snaps back. The tension between them boils over.
When Lina finally calls the buyer, she finds herself blocked. So, naturally, she grabs her car keys and goes full revenge mode. Lu Yuan joins the mission, and on the ride over, shares her own war stories about dealing with a cheating ex — and even drops a warning: keep an eye on Shen Qing, just in case he’s not as loyal as he seems.
️♀️ A Bit of Detective Work
The two women track down the office of the supposed buyer, Hui Jia Shoes, only to discover that no one named Tan Xin (the buyer's name) works there. But Lina’s not giving up. She starts asking around, and Lu Yuan spots a poster on the wall featuring outfits from Lina’s shop. Busted. They confront the company head-on, and eventually, the real buyer is forced to come clean: she used a fake name. Caught red-handed, the company has no choice but to take responsibility.
Victory! The dynamic duo heads to a restaurant to celebrate.
From Party to Panic
Back at home, Shen Zhuoran has a very different kind of evening. He lights a little too much cockroach-repellent incense (thanks to a sketchy online purchase from Lu Yuan), and the place fills with smoke. When Lina and Lu Yuan return from celebrating, they find the building surrounded by neighbors and firefighters. The culprit? Overdosing the bug killer.
As they rush to air out the apartment, one of the windows comes crashing down — right toward Lina. Lu Yuan leaps in front of her, taking the hit to her arm. Hero moment unlocked. Shen Zhuoran insists she go to the hospital, but Lu Yuan brushes it off, casually handing him her insurance card and asking for some ointment instead. Soon, Sun Baoqin and Liu Debao show up to check on her. After this near-tragedy, Lina trusts Lu Yuan more than ever.
Tension, Trust, and Temptation
Later that evening, Shen Qing comes home, and Lina’s eager to share her buyer-confrontation story. But he’s too preoccupied to care. Ouch. So, she meets up with Xiao Bai at a bar. When she tells him about her little act of justice, he’s clearly smitten. He sets her up with a new client—a dance school—and as they toast (with tea, not alcohol, this time), there’s a moment. A little too much eye contact. A lingering handshake. Lina notices the softness in Xiao Bai’s eyes and bolts, clearly unsettled by whatever just passed between them.
Back home, she hands over 800,000 yuan in savings to Shen Qing — a peace offering, or maybe a show of commitment. He’s touched.
️ One Bed, Two People (But Not Like That)
Meanwhile, Shen Zhuoran wakes up in the middle of the night to find Lu Yuan sleeping beside him. He freaks out, until he realizes the sofa collapsed, and she had no other option. In the morning, Lu Yuan is quick to explain, and Zhuoran, slightly mortified, just focuses on changing her bandages.
Trials and Teamwork
On the business side, Shen Qing’s pharmaceutical company hits a snag — their clinical trial timeline is extended from 16 to 24 weeks. But instead of panicking, Shen Qing leads by example and starts a new round of fundraising. Ice Li recognizes that Rui Zhifeng’s team is the real deal and agrees to help explain things to potential investors, worried only about family backlash. Shen Qing reassures him: everyone involved has full family support.
New Clients, Clean Slates
To seal the new deal, Xiao Bai takes Liu Lina to meet the head of the dance school. And this time, they both agree — no more drinking. Tea only. They’ve learned their lesson... maybe.
