The Wind, Rain, Rainbow choir heads to a local nursing home for a performance. Li Heibao shows up to cheer on Le Shuishan, but let’s be real—he’s not just there for the music. Meanwhile, Xiao Bai encourages Liu Lina to take a financial investment workshop. He even pays the fee and gifts her a souvenir from the Xi Le Hui project. Liu Lina tries to repay him, but he flat-out refuses.
And then comes the drama: Liu Lina spots Shen Qing driving home and deliberately cozies up to Xiao Bai in full view, hoping to spark some jealousy. Shen Qing sees them—but brushes right past. He’s in a rush to grab research data on a cancer-targeting drug and has zero time for games. Liu Lina, clearly frustrated, heads home.
Shen Qing’s Warning Falls on Deaf Ears
Once home, Shen Qing warns Liu Lina not to trust Xiao Bai or invest in the Xi Le Hui project. But Liu Lina’s not having it. She argues back, convinced she knows what she’s doing. Shen Qing, not wanting to escalate things, takes the research files and rushes off to deliver them to Ice Li, hoping she can help secure funding.
️ Choir Hike Shenanigans
After the nursing home gig, Le Shuishan suggests a group hike to snap some photos. Gou Bingqiang, ever the schemer, tells Tian Zhenyang to keep Li Heibao distracted so that Le Shuishan and Shen Zhuoran can have some alone time. Tian tries, but Heibao isn’t in the mood—he heads up the mountain anyway.
Cue the classic misdirection: Heibao runs into Gou Bingqiang, who purposely sends him down the wrong trail. By the time Heibao reaches the summit, he realizes he’s been tricked—Le Shuishan and Shen Zhuoran are already up there, bonding over the view and a heartfelt chat.
Then, Shen Zhuoran injures his knee while taking group photos. He insists on finishing the shoot, limping all the way down with Le Shuishan supporting him. Li Heibao eventually shows up and, without a word, lifts Shen Zhuoran and carries him down the mountain. The tension? Thick.
Love, Jealousy & Red Dresses
Liu Lina had hoped to attend a concert with Shen Qing, but he’s too busy. So she invites her bestie Zhou Jing instead and goes all-out—with a stunning red dress. Xiao Bai compliments her left and right, and she’s clearly loving the attention—until his girlfriend shows up. Cue PDA. Cue Liu Lina feeling instantly deflated.
Later, Xiao Bai offers to drive Liu Lina and Zhou Jing home, but his girlfriend, Little Green, is tired and demands an early night. Xiao Bai leaves, and Zhou Jing’s husband shows up to take them home. Liu Lina lies, saying she’s waiting for Shen Qing. After they leave, she sadly takes a cab home.
Outside her place, she accidentally steps into a pile of leftover food—because of course she does. Inside, she finds Shen Qing listening to music with his headphones on, oblivious. And that’s when she breaks down in tears.
️ Uncovering the Truth About Le Shuishan
As Li Heibao helps Shen Zhuoran home, he spots a photo of Jingmin—who looks exactly like Le Shuishan. The realization hits him hard: while he genuinely cherishes Le Shuishan, Shen Zhuoran’s family may just see her as a stand-in for Jingmin. Le Shuishan, fed up with the comparison, gets out of the car and walks off mid-conversation.
The next day, Le Shuishan visits Shen Zhuoran with flowers and offers to help take care of him on behalf of the choir. She casually brings up Heibao’s theory, but Shen Zhuoran quickly shuts it down—insisting she's not a replacement for anyone.
Justice for Le Shuishan
Meanwhile, Li Heibao finally tracks down Tang Jialin—Le Shuishan’s long-hated enemy. The moment she hears the news, she rushes off. Turns out, Tang Jialin is a sleazy, power-abusing creep. He tried to assault her in the past, sent her husband to a remote post, and indirectly caused his death. She even lost her baby after confronting him. The hatred runs deep.
At a kayak race at Xuanwu Lake, Li Heibao spots Tang Jialin and wastes no time—he pushes him into the water and gives him a taste of his own medicine.
Later, Tang Jialin shows up at Le Shuishan's place to threaten her. Shen Zhuoran tries to protect her but is clearly outmatched. Just as things are about to get out of hand, Li Heibao storms in and saves the day again. Shen Zhuoran, knowing Tang Jialin won’t give up easily, urges Le Shuishan to stay with him for safety.
Final Thoughts
Episode 31 is packed with emotional highs and lows: love triangles, betrayals, long-buried secrets, and a long-overdue confrontation. Le Shuishan continues to be a standout character, holding her ground in the face of trauma and manipulation. And while Shen Qing and Liu Lina’s relationship is unraveling, the chemistry between Le Shuishan and both her leading men is heating up.
