Destiny and Saving: Episode 10

Spoiler Alert

If you thought things were already complicated in Destiny and Saving, Episode 10 just cranked the drama up to eleven. Betrayals, secrets, and near-death moments—this episode’s a whirlwind. Let’s break it down.

Mo Xiao’s Big Guest List (And Someone Else’s Wallet)

Our episode opens in Fengdu City, where Mo Xiao decides to rent out an entire inn. Classy move… except he makes Xie Lingyun foot the bill. Understandably, Xie is not thrilled and reminds Mo Xiao that last time he already burned through a whole bag of his gold leaves. But Mo Xiao’s got a plan—he says he’s expecting a "guest" and sends Xie, Wu Chen, and the rest of the gang off to explore the city. Suspicious much?

Cult Reunion Drama at Xing Tian Manor

Elsewhere, things are heating up at Xing Tian Manor. The Grand Protector Poyun has gathered old cult members who’ve tried to move on with "normal" lives. They're not really into the whole "revive the cult" vibe, especially since they believe their leader, Feng Xingtian, is long gone. But Poyun is still a true believer—and when he tries to make an example out of a defector, the mysterious Phoenix Mask woman shows up and stops him.

She’s got other plans: forget fighting each other, it’s time to take down Mo Xiao, the disciple of Feng Yue.

Phoenix Mask Crashes Meditation Hour

Back at the inn, Mo Xiao is just trying to have a peaceful meditation session when Phoenix Mask shows up—uninvited, of course. Turns out, he wanted her to come. She teases him for being smarter than he looked as a kid, but he’s more focused on a growing suspicion: is this woman actually Feng Lixue, the one everyone thought was lost?

She doesn’t clear things up—instead, she attacks him using her signature Phoenix Feather Chain. She declares herself the real Feng Lixue, back for revenge. Wu Chen and the others return just in time for her to vanish into the night.

Wu Chen’s Strange Encounter

Turns out, Wu Chen was late getting back because she got distracted by… a rabbit. Relatable. But that detour gets her ambushed by Phoenix Mask, until a mysterious black smoke intervenes. Wu Chen passes out and is later found asleep on the street by her friends. Mo Xiao is furious—he warns that wandering off is dangerous.

Wu Chen mentions the masked person felt familiar, but not the same as the one she saw back at Shushan. Intriguing...

More Questions Than Answers

Mo Xiao carries Wu Chen back to the inn (her legs are numb from sleeping too long—again, relatable). He tries to ask her about what happened before she went to Mang Mountain, but she doesn’t remember—and doesn’t think it matters.

Meanwhile, Chang Ming delivers a warning to Phoenix Mask from Chong Guang: stop acting on your own or stay out of this game entirely. Phoenix Mask doesn’t care. After he leaves, she finds Poyun eavesdropping and pulls him inside. She questions his loyalty, and while he insists he trusts her, he notices something odd—she can touch people now. Her mysterious illness might be gone.

Trust Issues and a Dangerous Ambush

Xie Lingyun’s still salty about being sent away earlier. Mo Xiao admits he didn’t want to involve him in something dangerous—he suspects Phoenix Mask might really be Feng Lixue. Xie’s hurt that Mo Xiao kept him in the dark, but still wants to help.

The next day, they ride out—two to a horse, no less—toward their next destination. But Poyun and his crew are lying in wait. When they attack, Poyun notices something shocking: Wu Chen has the Phoenix Order mark on the back of her neck. That throws him off, big time.

Secrets Beneath the Ice

Mo Xiao and the gang manage to escape and rush to the Ice Lake of Ten Thousand Islands, where they find Poison Lady and others lying in wait, hoping to steal the Phoenix Order. Mo Xiao pulls a fast one: he fakes them out by pretending Xie has the Order and sends him off as bait. Meanwhile, Mo Xiao seals the real Order at the lake.

The others are furious, accusing him of trying to steal the cult’s hidden treasure. Poison Lady suggests they work together to break the seal, but Mo Xiao warns that if they try, Shushan will come for them. They back off—at least for now.

Wu Chen in Danger (Again)

Back at the inn, Murong Jing ditches Wu Chen to go check out the action. Bad move. Poyun shows up and kidnaps Wu Chen. When Mo Xiao finds out, he absolutely loses it on Murong Jing, who storms off in tears. Zisu stops Mo Xiao from going after Wu Chen—he’s still injured from sealing the Order, and they need to protect him.

Murong Jing reflects on her mistake, upset that she’s being blamed for everything. Xie comforts her in the most poetic way possible: no matter what, he says, she’s beautiful—cute when moving, sweet when still. (Smooth.)

Wu Chen’s Power Awakens

Poyun interrogates Wu Chen about her birthmark and her connection to Mo Xiao. When she tries to run, he hits her. But in a moment of desperation, she unleashes a burst of ice power that stuns him. Before he can react, Phoenix Mask appears and drags him away.

She warns him: she is Feng Lixue, and Wu Chen was only ever meant to be a pawn to distract Mo Xiao.

Wu Chen faints, and Poison Lady's crew finds her. They send word to Mo Xiao: give up the seal, or Wu Chen dies.

The Final Blow (Literally)

When Wu Chen wakes up, she’s face-to-mask with Phoenix Mask again—who declares she’s not worthy of being Feng Lixue. She accuses Wu Chen of forgetting her father's death and vows to kill Mo Xiao.

Wu Chen won’t have it. She unleashes her ice powers to protect him, and during the fight, she notices something shocking: Phoenix Mask also has a phoenix-shaped mark.

Before things get worse, Chang Ming arrives and knocks Wu Chen out. He warns Phoenix Mask: hurt Wu Chen again, and it’s over. He takes Wu Chen away and tosses her Heart-Link Stone at Phoenix Mask.

Final Thoughts

Episode 10 is packed with twists, power reveals, and the kind of emotional gut punches that Destiny and Saving is quickly becoming known for. Mo Xiao’s suspicions are growing, Wu Chen’s identity is more mysterious than ever, and Phoenix Mask’s grip on the truth is slipping.

And with multiple factions chasing after the Phoenix Order and the truth about Feng Lixue, it’s clear: the real battle is just getting started.
