Feng Lixue grapples with her feelings and investigates her past. Chong Guang's plans are threatened by his own emotions. Mo Xiao recovers from poisoning thanks to Feng Lixue's efforts. The Valley of Desire is attacked with a deadly poison, putting everyone in danger.

"Destiny and Saving" Episode 19: Recap & Spoilers
Episode 19 dives deep into the tangled web of relationships and hidden agendas. Feng Lixue's loyalties are tested, and it looks like Chong Guang's carefully laid plans might be starting to unravel.
The episode kicks off with Feng Lixue urgently warning Mo Xiao to get away, but then she realizes she's actually seeing an illusion of Chong Guang. Chong Guang confronts her, accusing her of developing feelings. When the real Chong Guang appears, he's coughing up blood, clearly not happy about Feng Lixue's potential affections for anyone else. Feng Lixue senses dark energy coming from him and pushes him away. Chang Ming arrives on the scene, finding Feng Lixue shaken and Chong Guang injured from what seems like a magical backlash.
Chang Ming presses Chong Guang about his feelings for Feng Lixue, suggesting that's why he suffered the backlash. Chong Guang denies it, claiming he wouldn't care for a pawn. Chang Ming reminds him that Feng Xingtian, a decade ago, gave Chong Guang the Bingqing Fu, but it was modified. One part was given to Chong Guang, and the other to Feng Lixue, as insurance in case Chong Guang wouldn't save her. These items are linked, sharing life and death. Now, after ten years, the one inside Feng Lixue is ready to be extracted and merged with Chong Guang's, increasing his power. However, Chong Guang refuses, instructing Chang Ming to find the third spirit stone and forbidding anyone from harming Feng Lixue.
Chong Guang recalls Feng Xingtian telling him the Bingqing Fu could suppress the demonic energy within him. He questioned Chang Ming about this, who confirmed Feng Xingtian's aim was for Feng Lixue's sake, viewing her as a vessel for the Bingqing Fu to be extracted later.
Flashback time! We see Feng Xingtian falling off a cliff during a fight with Feng Yue. Feng Lixue jumps after him, and Chong Guang, who was nearby, saves Feng Lixue at Feng Xingtian's dying request.
Back in the present, Feng Lixue contemplates Mo Xiao's words. She remembers being saved from demonic energy as a child and suspects her father's death was not as it seemed. She decides to investigate before fully trusting Mo Xiao.
Mo Xiao is still unconscious from poisoning. Feng Lixue seeks an antidote from a woman in red, who tells her their motivations differ: Mo Xiao seeks justice, while she seeks love, causing her more pain. Feng Lixue bravely enters the Hongchen Wanzhang Water, enduring visions of Mo Xiao, and successfully retrieves the antidote. She secretly administers it to Mo Xiao that night, who calls out her name in his delirium, bringing her to tears.
The next day, Zisu discovers Mo Xiao has recovered. Mo Xiao realizes the previous night wasn't a dream. Yuan Beichen arrives, relieved to find Mo Xiao healed, and plans to return to Shushan.
Chong Guang remains arrogant, believing his plan is unchanged. But his reflection reminds him that he should have killed Feng Lixue ten years ago. Chong Guang justifies his actions, stating Feng Lixue is still useful to him and can be used whenever he needs her.
Yuan Beichen praises Mo Xiao and announces their return to Shushan. Unbeknownst to them, Chang Ming, under Chong Guang's orders, releases the Huagu Duzhang (Bone-Melting Poisonous Barrier) into the Valley of Desire.
Xie Lingyun tries to comfort Mo Xiao, urging him to let go of certain things, reminding him that immortals and demons are irreconcilable. Upon returning, Xie Lingyun discovers the Valley of Desire is under attack by the Huagu Duzhang. He and Murong Ce lead everyone to safety on the upper floors and alert Mo Xiao. Yuan Beichen goes to investigate, confirming it's the Huagu Duzhang, and warns other sects to delay picking up their disciples.
Ji Xingluo awaits Yuan Beichen in the Valley of Desire. Yuan Beichen assumes Ji Xingluo is responsible for the attack, which she denies, stating she's there to witness Yuan Beichen's demise. Yuan Beichen vows to protect the world, but Ji Xingluo mocks him, saying he can't even protect his loved ones.
Yuan Beichen informs Murong Jing and the others about the poisonous gas and how to dispel it.
