Episode Summary
Feng Lixue protects Mo Xiao from the Demon Clan but both are injured and fall into the Tianmo Abyss. Murong Jing and Xie Lingyun escape imprisonment, realizing their true feelings. Chong Guang's obsession with Feng Lixue intensifies, while Mo Xiao is drawn deeper into the mysteries of the Tianmo Abyss.

"Destiny and Saving" Episode 21: Recap & Spoilers
Episode 21 kicks off with some serious action! Feng Lixue is fiercely protecting Mo Xiao, wielding her Phoenix Feather Chain against the Demon Clan soldiers. Mo Xiao, trying to protect her in return, ends up coughing up blood – not a good sign. Just as Feng Lixue is about to get them out of there, Ming Huang and Wu Shuang show up, ready for round two. Mo Xiao gets hit and collapses, bleeding, and Feng Lixue takes a hit meant for him. She tries to use her ice powers, but Ming Huang sees right through it and takes her down. Mo Xiao, desperate, throws up a barrier to keep Wu Shuang and the others away from the unconscious Feng Lixue.
Mo Xiao remembers Shi Bujiu's advice: he needs to give Feng Lixue his blood to save her. Just then, Chong Guang arrives and witnesses the scene, and he literally coughs up blood! Chang Ming quickly pulls him away. When Feng Lixue wakes up, she makes it clear: only she gets to kill Mo Xiao.
Meanwhile, Jixing Luo tries to break through the barrier, but Wu Shuang stops him, figuring it's a perfect trap. Ming Huang then activates a mechanism that opens a hole beneath Feng Lixue and Mo Xiao, and they both plummet down.
Cut to Murong Jing and Xie Lingyun, who are trying to find a way out of their predicament. Xie Lingyun uses a bamboo dragonfly to scout ahead. Murong Jing realizes he was the one who saved her as a child, not Mo Xiao! She remembers being bitten by a snake and a boy giving her a bamboo dragonfly to guide her to safety. For ten years, she thought it was Mo Xiao, but Mo Xiao can't even make a bamboo dragonfly! She starts crying, but Xie Lingyun thinks she's just scared. He tries to comfort her, even joking about having kids if they're stuck there. She gets mad and chases him, but Chang Ming suddenly appears, knocks Xie Lingyun out, and warns Murong Jing to keep him in line.
Murong Jing cares for the unconscious Xie Lingyun. When he wakes up and sees her tear stains, he teases her again. She worries they'll starve, but then two silent figures bring them food. They can't get any answers from them, so they just eat.
Back at headquarters, Zisu wants to check on Mo Xiao at Mount Suyu, but Yuan Beichen returns, seriously injured. Everyone rushes to help him.
Feng Lixue and Mo Xiao have fallen into the Tianmo Abyss (Demon Abyss). Feng Lixue now believes there was more to her father's death than she knew, and she tells Mo Xiao she trusts him. But she also warns him that if he betrays her, she will kill him. Mo Xiao just smiles.
Chong Guang hears about Feng Lixue and Mo Xiao falling into the Tianmo Abyss and is devastated. Chang Ming warns him not to show favoritism or their plan will be exposed, but Chong Guang can't let Feng Lixue stay there and flies off to find her.
Inside the Tianmo Abyss, glowing insects light up the cavern. They spot a figure in the darkness. When the figure hears that Mo Xiao is a Shushan disciple, a powerful force pulls Mo Xiao towards him. Just then, Chong Guang arrives and takes Feng Lixue away.
The cloaked figure is sure that Mo Xiao isn't really from Shushan, because the abyss has no effect on him. He believes it's the call of the Tianmo spirit, and tells Mo Xiao to leave, confident he'll return. Mo Xiao leaves, since the figure won't come with him.
The two silent food-bringers watch Murong Jing and Xie Lingyun finish their meal. Murong Jing had cleverly punctured a hole in the bottom of a bowl, letting the soup drip out. They follow the trail and escape the courtyard. They overhear guards talking about Mo Xiao being trapped in the Tianmo Abyss.
Chong Guang brings Feng Lixue medicinal wine, but she refuses it. He scolds her for using the Ice Silkworm Technique, which damaged her body, and says the wine is the key to her recovery. But Feng Lixue claims she's almost recovered and doesn't need it. She insists on getting Mo Xiao out, because she wants to be the one to kill him. Chong Guang asks if he wanted to kill Mo Xiao, and Feng Lixue sees something in his eyes. She silently takes the wine and drinks it.
Xuyuan Yunchao is worried about Feng Lixue. Wu Shuang is annoyed by his concern and reminds him of her kindness and their plan. Eighteen years ago, Wu Shuang lost her husband and child and nearly died. She found Xuyuan Yunchao by the river and took him in, making him the youngest Star Lord, all so they can find her son one day.
Zi Ying sees Feng Lixue brushing Chong Guang's hair and storms off. Chong Guang enjoys it, remembering when he first met Feng Lixue ten years ago. He says he'll be in seclusion that night and wants Feng Lixue to guard him, but she asks Chang Ming to do it, claiming she's unwell. Chong Guang feels she's not the same person anymore and asks if she's still his. Feng Lixue says she'll always be his disciple, which dissatisfies him. He reminds her they're more than just master and student, they're one. He then knocks her unconscious.
Murong Jing helps Xie Lingyun descend into the Tianmo Abyss, but Ming Huang finds them and wounds Murong Jing with a lotus thorn. He orders everyone to guard the entrance. Just then, Mo Xiao arrives. He and Xie Lingyun tell Murong Jing to wait at the entrance while they look for another way out.
After finding an exit, Mo Xiao insists on saving Feng Lixue. Xie Lingyun reminds him that Feng Lixue is Chong Guang's disciple and will be fine, and that no one cares about his promises. But Mo Xiao cares about his promise to Feng Lixue. Xie Lingyun, with Murong Jing in tow, decides to get her poison treated first.
