Destiny and Saving: Episode 3

Spoiler Alert

Episode 3 of Destiny and Saving hits hard with betrayals, sacrifices, and a time jump that sets the stage for a whole new generation of drama. Buckle up—this episode is packed.

TL;DR:

Sacrifices, betrayal, rebirth, and a new generation of heroes (and maybe villains) rise. Episode 3 delivers emotional weight and sets up a much larger conflict. With Qian Qiu Ling at the center of it all, the battle between Heaven and Demon is far from over.

Ni Huang’s Fury and Bai Yan’s Final Sacrifice

The moment Ni Huang lays eyes on the Void Cauldron, she completely loses it. Convinced that Bai Yan plans to erase her for the greater good, she goes ballistic and takes on the Immortals in a full-blown battle. Bai Yan, ever the War God, rushes in headfirst—recklessly, even dangerously—to stop her from going down a dark path.

What follows is both heartbreaking and heroic: Bai Yan injects his own Dragon Pearl into the back of Ni Huang’s neck, fulfilling a promise to seal her spiritual energy. This act allows her to reincarnate as a mortal, beyond the reach of anyone in the Three Realms—except Bai Yan, of course. The price? Bai Yan falls in battle. A god dies for love. Brutal.

Tuo Sang’s Greed Backfires—Literally

While everyone’s fighting, Tuo Sang sees his chance. He tries to snatch Ni Huang’s Yuan Dan and steal the powerful Qian Qiu Ling artifact. But karma’s got hands—Qian Qiu Ling backlashes hard, burning his body to ashes.

Zhen Jun steps in with divine punishment: Tuo Sang loses his immortal roots and is cast into the Infernal Abyss, doomed to eternal torment. Ouch. As for Qian Qiu Ling, it’s sealed away on Mount Buzhou under the protection of the Shushan Sect.

A Thousand Years Later… Rebirth of a Villain

Fast forward a thousand years. Tuo Sang has been suffering in the Abyss this whole time, but eventually ends up at Mount Suyu, home of the Demon Clan. Their leader, Ye Yuan, revives him inside the Blood Demon Orb and gives him a new name: Chong Guang.

Ye Yuan fills Chong Guang in on his past—minus the fact that his own greed got him fried—and convinces him that the heavens destroyed his body. Chong Guang, memory wiped but full of vengeance, agrees to serve the Demon Clan and help Ye Yuan find the Qian Qiu Ling to challenge the Heavens.

Tensions Rise as the Seal Weakens

The seal on Qian Qiu Ling is starting to weaken, and there’s only one person who can reinforce it: Feng Yue, the Sword Immortal. Problem is, he’s in seclusion. Ye Yuan sees this as the perfect opportunity. He introduces Chong Guang to his top lieutenants—Ming Huang, Tu Shuo, and Ji Xingluo—and places him above them all. Naturally, they’re not thrilled, but Ye Yuan makes it clear: treat Chong Guang as you would treat me.

The group debates—should they go for it, or are they too rusty from years of peace? Chong Guang argues that the Shushan Sect’s probably just as unprepared. Ye Yuan agrees and orders an attack on Mount Buzhou.

Feng Yue Returns, and All Hell Breaks Loose

Ye Yuan’s wife tries to stop him—she’s worried, and rightfully so—but he’s determined to carve out a future for his family. At the seal site, just as Ye Yuan begins to unseal Qian Qiu Ling, a flying sword slices through the air. Surprise! Feng Yue’s back early.

Feng Yue warns Ye Yuan that his actions could doom the Demon Clan, but Ye Yuan doesn’t care. He and Chong Guang launch a two-on-one assault. Meanwhile, Ye Yuan’s wife suddenly doubles over in pain—she’s pregnant, and the child is about to be born.

Back in the fight, Chong Guang reaches for Qian Qiu Ling but is overwhelmed by its energy. The backlash nearly tears him apart. Ye Yuan, distracted, is struck by Feng Yue, who uses the last of his strength to reseal the artifact before passing out.

A New Beginning

Ye Yuan knows he’s dying. He passes the Demon Lord’s command token to Chong Guang, officially naming him the new leader. Before he can finish his last words, he vanishes from the world.

Chong Guang returns to the Demon Clan with the others. Meanwhile, Ye Yuan’s wife gives birth.

Ten Years Later: Enter the Next Generation

We meet a young girl arriving at the quiet, almost abandoned Xuanqing Courtyard. She finds a boy lost in meditation, completely ignoring her. When she tries to ask for directions, he won’t respond—because it’s still his “noon class” time, and this kid follows the rules. She tries to smack him with her Phoenix Feather Chain, but it bounces right back.

Eventually, the boy finishes his training and explains he’s not allowed to leave until his master returns. The girl mocks him for being so rigid—how could someone like this ever achieve enlightenment?

She wants to go up the mountain to find her father, who’s supposed to be in a duel. The boy recalls his master is also dueling today and realizes they might be talking about the same fight. Still, he refuses to leave. Orders are orders.

The girl leaves, frustrated, but something about her lingers in the boy’s mind. He decides to follow her—just in time to save her from falling off a cliff while trying to rescue a bird's nest. She’s shocked he can touch her—her body is cursed with a freezing cold aura that repels everyone. No one’s ever held her hand before.

This boy is the first.

She’s thrilled and asks to be friends. He agrees. Her name? Feng Lixue. His? Mo Xiao.

And just like that, a new bond is formed—one that will undoubtedly shake the Three Realms once again.
