Spoiler Alert
"Destiny and Saving" Episode 7:Drama, power struggles, forbidden love, and one very dangerous rice ball delivery…
Things are heating up fast in Episode 7 of Destiny and Saving, and not just because Wu Chen nearly freezes a whole temple. Here's everything that went down — and trust me, you're going to want to sit down for this one.
The Love Triangle (Or Square?) Gets Complicated
Xie Lingyun is clearly not thrilled that Mo Xiao gave a precious stone to a “little girl” — aka Wu Chen. He accuses Mo Xiao of letting romance cloud his judgment. And when he sees Mo Xiao looking longingly back at Wu Chen as he leaves? Yeah, Lingyun’s ready to nominate Mo Xiao for “Most Likely to Throw Away His Cultivation for a Girl.”
Meanwhile, Chong Guang is scheming on a whole other level. Forget immortality — he wants to rule all three realms. He's aware the Shushan sect is sniffing around Mang Mountain, but he’s confident they’re nowhere near finding him. Oh, and he has no plans to kill the little fox girl. Bold strategy.
Wu Chen Figures Out Her Feelings (Thanks to Rice Balls)
Xie Lingyun is doing his best to win Wu Chen over — bringing her glutinous rice balls and books like he's auditioning for a very polite dating show. He even invites her for a stroll down the mountain, but she refuses. Why? Because she promised Mo Xiao she wouldn't leave. When Lingyun pushes her about whether she likes Mo Xiao, Wu Chen admits she doesn't even know what “liking” means — until Lingyun describes the feeling. Suddenly, it clicks: she likes Mo Xiao.
But guess who’s eavesdropping? Zisu. And she is not happy.
Zisu’s "Good Intentions" Go Very Wrong
Zisu confronts Wu Chen alone and pulls a fast one. She lies, saying Mo Xiao wants Wu Chen to leave, and lures her away with… you guessed it, rice balls. Wu Chen, thrilled to learn Zisu made them, agrees to go.
Zisu delivers her to Yuan Beichen, hoping to get Wu Chen sent off the mountain quietly. But things spiral when villagers from Mang Mountain show up and accuse Wu Chen of being a demon. Yuan Beichen locks her up.
Big mistake.
Wu Chen unleashes a blizzard of icy energy in the hall that freezes everyone solid. Mo Xiao rushes back just in time to thaw things out and keep Wu Chen from collapsing. He even claims responsibility, saying she’s just a sick orphan he brought back to help — not a demon. Xie Lingyun backs him up, insisting the cold aura is an illness, not dark magic. Yuan Beichen, suspicious but not ready to act, lets it go. For now.
Swearing Oaths and Breaking Rules
After everything, Mo Xiao is summoned to the Sword Pavilion to answer for his actions. He kneels, swears he has no romantic feelings for Wu Chen, and vows to suppress all emotions for the sake of Shushan. Brutal.
Meanwhile, Wu Chen is suffering — literally. Her energy clashes with Mo Xiao’s cultivation technique, and it’s tearing her apart. Mo Xiao senses her pain and swoops in to save her, even though it means defying Yuan Beichen. He takes her away to protect her life, and this only deepens the suspicion around her identity.
A Dangerous Secret Emerges
Xuan Zhen starts putting pieces together. Wu Chen, he believes, is none other than Feng Lixue — daughter of Feng Xingtian — a name that sends shivers down every Shushan elder’s spine. If she really is who they think she is, she could be destined to fall into darkness, just like her father. Yuan Beichen decides he has to act now, before it’s too late.
Vows, Sacrifices, and One Last Rice Ball
Wu Chen wakes up, grateful to see Mo Xiao, and finally understands why he didn’t want her to leave the mountain. She asks him if he’s afraid of others hurting her, or her hurting them. His silence says it all, and she begins to wonder if she’s become a burden.
Things come to a head when Lu Shixiong shows up with orders to take Wu Chen into custody. Zisu tries to block him, Mo Xiao refuses to let her go, and promises to take the punishment himself. Wu Chen is touched — she believes Mo Xiao doesn’t want to lose her, and she’s willing to face the consequences with him.
Zisu, conflicted but still caring, delivers one last batch of rice balls with a side of herbal remedies from Baicao Sect — just in case Wu Chen doesn’t survive the punishment. Wu Chen, however, is not worried. She trusts Mo Xiao completely.
Betrayal at the Sword Pavilion
Mo Xiao makes one last move — he borrows two powerful relics from Xie Lingyun: the Shen Ji Map, which reveals traps inside the Tielü Sect, and the Zi Shou Immortal Belt, which can block any punishment. He secretly slips the belt onto Wu Chen’s wrist before heading off to face punishment.
But it’s not enough.
Yuan Beichen decides Wu Chen is too dangerous and sends her to the Demon-Suppressing Palace. Mo Xiao hears the news mid-punishment and races to stop it, only to find Wu Chen already condemned. She insists she’s Mo Xiao’s destined one and refuses to leave him. Yuan Beichen drops the bomb — calling her by the name Feng Lixue and accusing her of faking ignorance.
Wu Chen doesn’t recognize the name, but something about it feels familiar. Yuan Beichen, unconvinced, sends her away anyway.
Final Scene: Mo Xiao’s Desperation
The episode ends with Mo Xiao arriving too late — Wu Chen is already being taken to the Demon-Suppressing Palace. He begs Yuan Beichen to spare her, but whether his plea will be heard… we’ll have to wait and see.
TL;DR:
- Wu Chen confesses her feelings (kind of).
- Zisu tries to protect Mo Xiao but ends up endangering Wu Chen.
- Mo Xiao breaks the rules to save her.
- Wu Chen may be the daughter of a powerful fallen cultivator.
- Yuan Beichen sees her as a threat — and acts fast.
- Mo Xiao’s devotion is only growing stronger.
Next episode? Expect secrets to unravel, powers to clash, and yes — probably more rice balls.
