"Such a Good Love" Episode 26: Second Chances and Final Goodbyes?

Alright, folks, buckle up because episode 26 is a rollercoaster of emotions and unresolved feelings! We jump right into it with Zhou Shui and Dai Daji finally meeting again after all these years. Chairman Zhang is all ears for Zhou Shui's story, but Dai Daji is way more interested in getting some answers. She hits Zhou Shui with the big question: how could he throw away a decade of their relationship over a movie? Wasn't loyalty supposed to be their thing? And what's with the novel's ending – is it some kind of confession? Zhou Shui throws it back at her, asking if she could ever forgive him. Dai Daji's answer? A firm no, and she definitely won't be buying the rights to his story.

Meanwhile, Tong Leyi and Su Zihao are having a full-blown debate over Zhou Shui and Dai Daji's history. Tong Leyi is convinced Zhou Shui is a total jerk, but Dai Daji argues that the complexity of human nature is what makes the story interesting. She points out that the characters in the book wasted ten years on love, and whether it was worth it or not, at least they were brave enough to do it. She challenges Tong Leyi and Su Zihao: would they be that brave?

Things get even more awkward when Zhou Shui and Dai Daji basically scold Tong Leyi and Su Zihao. Before they can even process that, San San, Zhou Shui's kid, runs into his arms. Dai Daji jumps to the conclusion that Zhou Shui and Xiao Juan are married with a kid. In a fit of pique, she grabs Chairman Zhang's arm and announces that they're getting married too! After the dust settles, Su Zihao finally confesses his feelings to Tong Leyi.

Later, Zhou Shui and Xiao Juan take San San to Tiananmen Square, and guess who's driving? It's Pujie! Zhou Shui is blown away by how much Beijing has changed. Pujie calls Dai Daji and invites her to a get-together at Chunzhi Li, saying everyone will be there, including Zhou Shui. Dai Daji immediately turns him down. She asks Chairman Zhang to help her move, since he's been wanting her to move in with him for ages. But Chairman Zhang refuses, because he knows exactly what Dai Daji is up to. Xiao Juan also encourages Zhou Shui to stay in Beijing and go after Dai Daji. She admits she always knew he'd leave eventually, but she didn't expect him to keep it a secret for so long.

The next day, Zhou Shui and Dai Daji show up at Chunzhi Li and reunite with their old crew: Pujie, Glasses, Shen Jingshu, and Dumbbell (Yaling). Shen Jingshu has bought the whole building and flaunts Dumbbell like a trophy, showing off how perfect her life is. But Dumbbell knows she doesn't love him; she just wants to keep him chained to her, forever punishing him. Shen Jingshu gives Dumbbell a smug smile. That night, Dumbbell and Shen Jingshu say goodbye to Zhou Shui and Dai Daji. Little do they know, it's the last time they'll ever see them. Years later, they'll realize that their story ended that very night.

Zhou Shui and Dai Daji grab a bite to eat, and Zhou Shui signs over the rights to his story for just one yuan – a symbolic gesture of compensation to Dai Daji. They reminisce about old arguments, and when Dai Daji gets bumped into, Zhou Shui immediately throws a punch. They end up holding hands and running like they used to, all the way onto a bus. Zhou Shui, caught up in the moment, kisses Dai Daji, and gets a slap in the face for his trouble. Tears well up as memories flood back. At a crossroads, they decide to say a final goodbye. Back in 2007, Dai Daji asked Zhou Shui if it would be worth it to break up if they went to Beijing in 2025. Zhou Shui never answered, but he actually had – Dai Daji just didn't hear it. As she walks away, Dai Daji receives a video from Zhou Shui: it's from that day at the Haikou airport. In the video, after Dai Daji asks her question and rushes to the check-in counter, Zhou Shui turns the camera to himself and answers, "It's worth it!"
