Episode Summary
Xiao Shitou is taken to the palace, while Baihe Xia gains confidence through Gou Lingfeng's manipulation. Baihe Xia and Hei Chu Xia find the Panshi Jindao (Solid Gold Saber) and agree to investigate their father's death. Deng Yunfeng is appointed as a supervisor, and Gou Lingfeng is freed after saving Baihe Xia and Hei Chu Xia from Dao Laoda.

"Hidden Master" Episode 14: Recap & Spoilers
The episode kicks off with some serious feels. Xiao Shitou is bummed after waiting all day under a tree for Ma Yingdan, who doesn't show. Eunuch Deng whisks him away to the palace, dropping some truth bombs about power and friendship. Meanwhile, Ma Yingdan finally arrives with goodies, but the other kids give her the cold shoulder, thinking Xiao Shitou has abandoned them. Ouch!
Gou Lingfeng, bless his heart, is trying to get Baihe Xia back in fighting shape. He orders Baihe Xia to attack him, but even when Gou Lingfeng pretends to be hurt, Baihe Xia's Pingsheng Yidao (Life's Saber) is still weak. Gou Lingfeng, frustrated, pulls out Baihe Xia's precious paintings and threatens to destroy them unless he puts some oomph into his swordsmanship.
The threat works! Baihe Xia unleashes a powerful strike. Gou Lingfeng acts like he barely dodged a fatal blow. Baihe Xia is ecstatic, finally believing in himself. But here's the twist: Gou Lingfeng had someone backstage rigging the whole thing to make Baihe Xia look good. Sneaky!
Next up: Baihe Xia vs. Hei Chu Xia, round two. Baihe Xia is losing, so Gou Lingfeng yells for him to use Pingsheng Yidao (Life's Saber). It works! Hei Chu Xia is injured, shocking everyone. But then Ma Yingdan bursts in, yelling about how infighting only benefits others. She believes the late master Daoshen was fair and wouldn't give the Panshi Jindao (Solid Gold Saber) to just one of them.
Baihe Xia accuses Hei Chu Xia of killing their master, which Hei Chu Xia denies. Ma Yingdan wants to know where the ancient saber is. Hei Chu Xia suspects Baihe Xia has it, but Baihe Xia says their father never gave it to him. Ma Yingdan stresses the saber's importance (it can command all swordsmen!) and suggests they revisit their old hideout.
They head back to their childhood home and find a hidden box behind a painting. Turns out, their master knew about it all along. Baihe Xia and Hei Chu Xia each have half a key, and inside the box is the Panshi Jindao (Solid Gold Saber)! Baihe Xia brings up their father's death again, and Hei Chu Xia again denies any involvement. Ma Yingdan thinks someone framed him. Baihe Xia decides to investigate and team up with Hei Chu Xia to restore the glory of Shendao Sect. Meanwhile, Dao Laoda and his crew are peeking over the wall, but they bail when they see Gou Lingfeng inside.
Over at the palace, Eunuch Deng gives Deng Yunfeng a Tiger-level XiaKe (knight-errant) token and an imperial decree. Deng Yunfeng is ordered to oversee the upcoming Wulin (martial arts world) assembly and keep an eye on anyone "worse than pigs and dogs" (aka "Zhuge Buru"). Baihe Xia, feeling confident after getting the Panshi Jindao (Solid Gold Saber) and mastering Pingsheng Yidao (Life's Saber), asks He Changzai to release Gou Lingfeng.
Zhuge Heng returns, much to Gou Lingfeng's delight. But their reunion is cut short when He Changzai summons Gou Lingfeng, Ma Yingdan, and Zhuge Heng back to the Xia Hui to announce the new supervisor. Surprise! Deng Yunfeng shows up with his imperial decree and XiaKe (knight-errant) token, leaving He Changzai speechless.
Baihe Xia and Hei Chu Xia break into the prison to rescue Gou Lingfeng, but he refuses to escape with a tainted reputation. They decide to plead his case to Wu Guangming. But as soon as they leave, Dao Laoda and his gang show up, demanding the Panshi Jindao (Solid Gold Saber). Hei Chu Xia refuses, and a fight breaks out. Baihe Xia and Hei Chu Xia are outnumbered and injured.
Dao Laoda reveals he killed Daoshen, enraging Baihe Xia, who wounds him. Hei Chu Xia, seemingly dying in Baihe Xia's arms, delivers his last words. Just then, Gou Lingfeng arrives and saves Baihe Xia and Hei Chu Xia. Dao Laoda is furious that Gou Lingfeng won't acknowledge the Demonic Sect, while Zhuge Heng and Ma Yingdan rush in to save Hei Chu Xia's life.
He Changsheng, impressed by Gou Lingfeng's bravery and the capture of Dao Laoda, decides to release him. Gou Lingfeng remains a C-level Vigilante in the Wulin (martial arts world) Xia Hui. Deng Yunfeng arrives, and another argument erupts with He Changzai. Gou Lingfeng and the others use this as an opportunity to slip away.
