"Secret Files of XSA" Episode 2 Summary: SAD attempts to sabotage the Shoulong Group's new energy project, "Wei Lan Yi Hao." Luo Shanshan's team protects Lin Shoulong during negotiations, while Huo Min spies and is eventually arrested after Jia Tenglongqi is poisoned.

"Secret Files of XSA" Episode 2: Operation "Wei Lan Yi Hao" is a Go!
Okay, so things are heating up! Episode 2 kicks off with the shadowy organization SAD (that's "Hei Yan Lian Meng" in Chinese, or Black Eye Alliance) really sweating the Shoulong Group's new energy tech, "Wei Lan Yi Hao" (Azure No. 1). These guys are based overseas, and they see Shoulong's innovation as a major threat. The big bosses decide SAD needs to sabotage the whole project, no excuses.
Matt, the head honcho of SAD's Southeast Asia division, gets the order. He's told that China imports tons of oil from them daily, and "Wei Lan Yi Hao" could cripple their economy. So, Matt's basically told to take down Shoulong Group, whatever it takes.
Back in China, Li Ge (the boss lady) calls Huo Min into her office. She gives him all the deets on the upcoming negotiations, emphasizing that this is top-secret. Han Yao, being the sneaky guy he is, eavesdrops on their conversation, recording everything. Huo Min wants to know which side Li Ge is playing, and she subtly points to Jia Tenglongqi from Sha Peng (that's a fictional country, FYI).
Meanwhile, Matt's setting things in motion. At a cafe, he gives a marked menu to a waiter. Natalia, another SAD operative, gleefully presses a detonator – BOOM! At the same time, Li Guang, another SAD member, uses a wire with a little yellow ducky attached (creepy, right?) to strangle a guy who just scored some drugs in the bathroom. After these hits, Natalia and Li Guang are ordered to Ying Zhou (Ying Zhou, basically a stand-in for a Western country). On the good guys' side, Luo Shanshan and her team, under Zhao Jizheng's orders, are also heading to Ying Zhou.
In Ying Zhou, Huo Min lands and immediately calls Meng Li, who instantly knows he's arrived. Luo Shanshan's team, protecting Lin Shoulong (the head of Shoulong Group), spots Huo Min at the airport exit. Lin Shoulong's car is immediately tailed. Luo Shanshan says not to worry, they'll just let them follow. The Shoulong Group reps check into the Jinsha Hotel. Huo Min takes a quick look, then heads to a hostel.
Luo Shanshan, Lu Chen, and Hu Fei sweep Lin Shoulong's hotel room, getting rid of SAD's hidden bugs. For secure comms, they confiscate everyone's cell phones and set up a local network for the negotiations. One of the team members opens the curtains, which Huo Min uses to pinpoint the room's location. SAD is relentless! They even manage to slip Lin Shoulong a piece of candy via a kid. The candy has a hidden microphone. Luo Shanshan decides to use this to their advantage, letting SAD overhear their (fake) plans to meet with Jia Tenglongqi.
SAD has numbers on their side, and they've rigged the meeting location with cameras. On the way to the meeting, Luo Shanshan's team splits into two cars, each with a tail. Huo Min has to make a choice and follows one of the cars. Meanwhile, a group dressed as cops raids Jia Tenglongqi's hotel, claiming they suspect drug possession. But the real Jia Tenglongqi has already slipped away with his team. Huo Min made the right call – he snaps photos of Lin Shoulong and Jia Tenglongqi meeting. Matt also has an inside man in Sha Peng, who discovers the meeting has been moved to a car. Luckily, Matt had the foresight to plant a bug in the car.
Matt listens in, but Luo Shanshan is one step ahead. Lu Chen parks the car in a car wash and activates a signal jammer. Lin Shoulong hands Jia Tenglongqi the "Wei Lan Yi Hao" letter of intent, promising to finalize the environmental assessment ASAP. Huo Min manages to get photos of the car entering the car wash.
After the meeting, Huo Min follows Jia Tenglongqi back to his hotel. Jia Tenglongqi ducks into the bathroom to avoid the fake cops. At his bodyguard's signal, a cleaning lady crushes a pill and smears it on a towel. SAD is still tailing Lin Shoulong's car, but Lu Chen's driving skills are top-notch. Back in the bathroom, the sprinklers suddenly go off, soaking Jia Tenglongqi. The bodyguard hands him the poisoned towel. Shortly after, Jia Tenglongqi collapses, poisoned. Huo Min tries to take pictures but is arrested by the police.
The negotiations wrap up ahead of schedule, and Luo Shanshan safely escorts Lin Shoulong to the airport. Jia Tenglongqi is rushed to the hospital. At the Ying Zhou police station, Huo Min is interrogated, but he denies assassinating Jia Tenglongqi.
