Episode Summary
Episode 7 sees Feng Qingming trying to appease an angry Qin Tianyue. Lei Lei and Xing Tian are forced into an awkward hand-holding session that surprisingly works. Ye Lang and Cheng Xu discover Gu Jianhua is spying on Zhou Ting. Gu Jianhua offers Qiu Zeyang money to leave Zhou Ting, which he initially accepts but then refuses, declaring his love for her. Gu Jianhua is furious, but Qiu Zeyang remains firm, leading Qin Tianyue to devise a new plan.

The episode kicks off with Feng Qingming trying to smooth things over with Qin Tianyue. Apparently, Qin Tianyue is still fuming about something. Feng Qingming swears he didn't intentionally eavesdrop on a conversation between Qin Tianyue and her family. Qin Tianyue isn't buying it and is super annoyed. Feng Qingming, ever the peacemaker, offers to take her out to cheer her up, but Qin Tianyue is not having it.
Then, in a hilarious turn, Xing Tian arrives, and Feng Qingming puts him and Lei Lei on the spot. He enforces a bizarre rule where they have to hold hands for a full thirty minutes! Feng Qingming and Xia Wanqing sit back, sipping coffee and acting like referees. Surprisingly, the forced hand-holding actually works! Lei Lei and Xing Tian start apologizing to each other, and it seems like they're making progress. Feng Qingming gives Xia Wanqing props for her matchmaking skills.
Meanwhile, Ye Lang and Cheng Xu discover that Gu Jianhua is having Zhou Ting watched! They rush back to tell Qin Tianyue about it.
The plot thickens when Qiu Zeyang walks into Gu Jianhua's office. Gu Jianhua, being the overbearing type, throws a bank card with 300,000 on the table. His offer? Qiu Zeyang should take the money and leave Zhou Ting. He gives him three minutes to decide. Ye Lang is watching all of this unfold, and Qiu Zeyang seems to accept the deal, grabbing the card and leaving. Ye Lang is quick to judge, assuming Qiu Zeyang is just after the money.
But wait, there's more! Qin Tianyue and Zhou Ting finally have a heart-to-heart. Zhou Ting confesses that she's actually fallen in love with Qiu Zeyang. She admits that she initially hired him to play a role to appease her father, promising him 30,000 a month. However, she realized she genuinely enjoys being with him and has developed real feelings. She's determined to be with him, no matter what her father says.
Just when Ye Lang and Qiu Zeyang are about to leave, Qiu Zeyang has a change of heart. He returns to Gu Jianhua and gives back the bank card. He explains that he can't accept the money because his feelings for Zhou Ting are real, and taking the money would be disrespectful to their relationship.
Gu Jianhua is livid, giving Qiu Zeyang a death stare and warning him that he'll never allow him to be with his daughter. But Qiu Zeyang stands his ground, declaring that he won't give up on Zhou Ting, no matter the obstacles.
Back with Qin Tianyue and the gang, they discuss the situation. Qin Tianyue, ever the strategist, seems to have a new plan brewing. What could it be? Guess we'll have to wait for the next episode!
