Cast & Character List

Ren Suxi as Lin Zhitao
Lin Zhitao isn't your average prosecutor. She's got this sharp, analytical mind – the kind you'd expect from someone with a top-notch law degree – but she also brings a real sense of empathy to her work. She's a prosecutor at the Yunhai City People's Procuratorate's Juvenile Division, which basically means she's on the front lines protecting kids.
What makes Lin Zhitao tick? Well, she's got a past. As a kid, she witnessed her mom enduring domestic violence at the hands of her father. That experience created a rift between her and her family. This personal history fuels her passion for protecting vulnerable children. It's like she's driven to make sure other kids don't have to go through what she did. She's got this hidden fire, a quiet determination to do what's right, especially when it comes to those who can't protect themselves.

Gao Weiguang as Bai Enyu
Bai Enyu started out as a correctional officer at a detention center. Talk about a tough gig! But he's not just some hard-nosed prison guard. He's got this crazy mix of military discipline – think super structured and by-the-book – combined with a real soft spot for people. He's got serious empathy.
Now, he's moved on up and become a prosecutor in the Juvenile Prosecution Office. You'd think that's a step up, right? Well, his dedication to the job kinda messed with his personal life. He was so busy, he missed a bunch of his wife's prenatal appointments. Ouch. That put a strain on their marriage, to say the least.
But here's where it gets interesting. Even with his own stuff going on, Bai Enyu is seriously good at connecting with these troubled kids. He's like a teenage whisperer! He can read them like a book just by watching their behavior. For example, he uses a math problem to get through to this kid, Li Hui, about how long he might be facing behind bars. And he sets up this whole "behavior points" system to motivate another kid, Lu Sheng, to turn his life around. The guy's got some serious skills when it comes to juvenile rehabilitation.
So, yeah, Bai Enyu is complex. He's a dedicated professional, a flawed husband, and a surprisingly effective mentor to young offenders. Definitely a character to watch!
